GRANT PRINCIPLES

The CLAWS Foundation has been supporting research and our research institute for decades. Without their support, we would not be able to advance a lot of the work that we are doing in breakthroughs and treatments for pediatric research, specifically for those rare and complex diseases.

– Monica Taylor Lotty, Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia

Grants made by the CLAWS Foundation are largely focused on, but not limited to, the broad categories outlined below:

  • Health care, with a particular interest in the health of children and underserved communities
  • Medical research and innovation
  • Social services, especially to support people with disabilities, low income individuals and families, and those affected by homelessness, human trafficking, etc.
  • Humanitarian relief for refugees and those impacted by disasters and emergencies
  • Fine arts and the performing arts

In addition, many other worthwhile causes are supported by the CLAWS Foundation and many more are in desperate need of funding.
