Philadelphia Museum of Art
Entry for children is always free at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The CLAWS Foundation is proud to have supported the museum’s “Core Project” renovation in 2021, which expanded galleries and public spaces, providing new space for children’s programming. Today, the museum hosts as many as 50 field trip classes per week during the busy spring months. Museum staff engage the next generation of artists through self-guided tours, projects and festivals for children and their families.
I would want to say to the CLAWS Foundation how grateful all of us are for their generosity. We not only got new spaces as a part of the opening of the Core Project, but we have opportunities to fill those spaces.
– Rosalie Hooper, Director of Interpretation
When a child is exposed to art, I think it can really open up new pathways for them. There are so many studies that show the importance of the arts in terms of learning, and the impact that that has beyond working on art itself. And I think that we see that in our programs here.

The CLAWS Foundation’s really support(ed) the work that the museum does, whether it’s bringing in school groups, activating our learning and engagement center through diverse programming, bring[ing] in dynamic performances, programming like lectures and talks, as well as art projects and community festivals for youth and families at the museum.
